As have many nonprofit
organizations, FAMILY MATTERS FOUNDATION has been responsive to the concerns
expressed by community partners, families or highlighted by the press, issues
often relevant to the families of Children with Special Needs.
There are times when
the issue may be one which FAMILY MATTERS FOUNDATION may have the appropriate
helping tool, such as a communication link to other folks with “special needs”,
whose dilemma attracts our attention.
As FAMILY MATTERS
FOUNDATION’S SPECIAL PROJECTS are presented and we need your
feedback or suggestions, a description of the SPECIAL PROJECT will be
posted here. Along with it might be additional information, questionnaires,
or surveys where your opinion or experience (or the experiences of your friends
or family) can make a direct contribution to the welfare of others.

-Returned and
Returning-
Many of
us have been troubled by television news
reports and articles in the paper about the
struggles with PTSD and other
trauma-related responses facing our Iraq
veterans. Although FAMILY MATTERS
FOUNDATION has proposed a cost-neutral
strategy to assist our returning soldiers to
Congressman Sam Farr, 17th
District, we still wish to hear from more
military veterans, either from Iraq or
Vietnam, through interviews we are compiling
to enhance the statistics which continue to
support our findings. |
